How recovery, sleep, and wellness information is handled.

Last updated: September 2, 2026

GUGA USA LLC, doing business through the Tennis Life service, determines the purposes and means for the collection and processing of consumer health data described in this policy, subject to applicable law. This is a separate notice from our general Privacy Policy because health data is sensitive.

1. Health data categories

  • Recovery and readiness signals: recovery score, HRV, resting heart rate (source: health_metrics, whoop_daily, session_conditions).
  • Sleep: sleep duration and performance, and sleep stages where a device provides them (source: whoop_daily, health_metrics).
  • Activity and effort: strain, workouts, heart-rate zones, energy, steps, distance (source: health_workouts, whoop_workouts).
  • Wellbeing self-reports and derived readiness (source: bodyclock_checkins, champion_days).

2. Where it comes from

  • WHOOP — connected by you through OAuth; we import recovery, sleep, cycle, and workout data and store access tokens encrypted (source: whoop_connections).
  • Apple Health — read-only samples you explicitly choose to share from your device; the app never writes to Apple Health.
  • In-app wellbeing check-ins you enter yourself.

3. Why we collect it

We use health data to inform training readiness and recovery-aware coaching — for you, and for the staff you have specifically authorized. We do not use it for advertising.

4. Derived health information

Our AI may derive readiness and recovery insights from the data above and reflect them in Mentor guidance and in your athlete profile. This derived health information is treated as health data and is covered by the same controls and rights.

5. Who it is shared with

Health data is processed by our hosting provider and, where you use recovery-aware AI features, by our AI provider. Within a team it is shared only with users you have granted the sensitive "medical" permission — connection alone is never enough. We never sell health data, broker it, or use it for advertising.

6. Hard rules

  • We never sell your health data.
  • We never use it for advertising or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • We never broker it to data brokers.

7. Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw health consent at any time by disconnecting the integration in Settings → Privacy & Legal → Health & Connected Apps, or in your WHOOP or Apple Health settings. Withdrawal stops future collection. To also revoke the WHOOP grant itself, disconnect Tennis Life inside your WHOOP account.

8. Health data deletion

You can request deletion of your health data through Settings → Privacy & Legal or our public privacy-request route, and deleting your account removes your stored health records. Disconnecting an integration stops new data; ask us if you also want previously imported health data removed without deleting your whole account. Deleted health data can remain in our encrypted disaster-recovery backups for up to 14 days, which are kept on a rolling 14-day window; if we ever restore from one, we re-apply completed deletion requests.
